Update: The Sun reports that workers recovered a body, and that the bridge is open once again.
Update 2: The victim has been identified as Brad Ginsburg '13, a resident of Donlon Hall. Ginsburg was pledging Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity.

ReplyDeleteconsidering that the reasons for his drowning are still under investigation, i humbly request in honor of his friends and family that you be more sensitive with your word choice in this regard.
I agree with the other anonymous poster. Who has reported or confirmed that this was a suicide? The determination that a death is a suicide is a conclusion to be made by a medical examiner or police investigators, not your guesswork.
ReplyDeleteI am not a student at Cornell but a friend of the family. For a school that is put on a pedestal I feel you need a lesson in choosing your words more carefully. How can you post a comment like that with no regard for his family or for people like me who are distraught over this? Jumping to say it was a suicide is an assumption on your part and posting 4 words 'Suicide off Thurston Bridge" is extremely cold. Bradley was a good person from a fine family and posting something in such a cold manner really shows you don't even have regard for a fellow Cornell student. Shame on you!!
